Home to the Great Lake Lucent, Ivywood is by far the youngest of the sovereign nation-states. The bog-infested marshlands surrounding the lake are nearly inhospitable, but the populace has thrived on the resources taken from Lucent and the strategic value of being the only passageways through the middle of the continent.
The capital city of Little Ivywood sits upon a large island in the middle of the lake. The current ruler is Lord Justinius Blackburn, descendant of the fabled Gerrold Blackburn who first united the people of Ivywood and had established the kingdom two hundred years earlier. Currently Lord Blackburn serves as a puppet figurehead after the invasion of the Gardanian Empire during the Gear Wars in 1337.
The foreign occupation is opposed by members of an underground resistance movement known as the Turning Tide, led by folk hero Rowan Ashglade and ghost-sponsored by the wealthy aristocrat-merchant Lord Byron Gwenlyn.
